Week 5 Fun!

We have had a really busy week of learning and fun in Room VH.  Our Dr Seuss month has started with Fox in Socks and today we had fun wearing our wacky socks to school.

We celebrated today by making fox ears too.  Here's the VH pack - don't be scared!

Fox in Socks is a book full on tongue twisters.  All week we have been practicing our rhyming.  We have learnt that rhyming words all finish with the same sounds.

We have been working on the size of our letters in handwriting.  Everyone is making great progress in making tall letters touch the top line and small letters starting at the middle of the line.  Here are two shining examples that were given principal's awards today.

Here are five more radiant readers who have reached the milestone of 25 nights reading.  Well done! This week one whole group moved up a flower on our reading garden as well.  I know they are very proud of themselves.

Recently we wrote about what we would like to be when we grow up.  Here are interesting jobs the kids would like to be....

Next week there are lots more fun learning experiences planned.  Week 6 will rock too!
