What a Busy Term

We have had a fantastic term. Today we had our wacky mad scientist day. What a lot of fun!

Here are some thoughts about our term.

Thank you all for coming along to parent interviews. We really hope you enjoyed our science fair.

We have had fun learning about solids, liquids and gases.

We had fun more Te Reo during Maori Language Week.

We created colourful and fun art all term. During Samoan Language Week we learnt about siapo patterns. These are beautiful patterns which the Samoan people put on mats.

All the teachers are well on the way to planning next term. It is going to be lots of fun with lots of learning about our world.

We wish Tyler all the best for her new school in Masterton. Thank you for being such a great friend to us in Room VH.

Learning with Rakau

Today we meet with our buddies to learn to use rakau. We tried different movements. Enjoy our efforts!

Haere Mai

This week is Maori Language Week. We are doing some cool things in class using Te Reo. We are hearing legends, singing songs and creating cool art.

Yesterday we got sent a photo from Nicola. This is a photo of her whanau reunion on her marae.

A marae is a meeting house. Nicola's marae is in Wairoa. Her tribe is called Kahungunu.

Look carefully at the beautiful carvings on the marae. The big carving at the top of the marae is called a Tekoteko.
