We had an amazing day on Kapiti Island. Our adventure began on board Kapiti Island Charters. It was the first time on a boat for quite a few of the VH kids so it was a very exciting start. We met with Jackie who talked about the wildlife and history of Kapiti. Then it was off in our groups. We saw all sorts of native wildlife including weka, takahe, keruru, fantail, hihi and even a very cheeky kaka.
The kids were amazing. Some even reached the summit of the island. Well done to you all. You should be very proud of the achievement of getting to the top!
