Last week Kennyth visited Samoa for a few days. He took his Flat Stanley with him and here are some photos of their travels.
Also Rosearna's Flat Stanley visited Sydney Australia. I bet the Sydney Harbour Bridge was fun to climb.

The Last of Our Flat Stanley's
We have received the last of our Flat Stanley's.
Jane received her Flat Stanley from Ouma in South Africa. Ouma showed the students in her class our Flat Stanley. What an African adventure Stanley had there.

Another Flat Stanley arrived from South Africa as well. Roald's Oupa Bertus sent us some fun pictures of african animals as well as a lovely picture of some african flowers, wilde malva. What fun Stanley had on the farm.
Our last Flat Stanley arrived from the other side of the Pacific Ocean, all the way from San Francisco in the USA. Flat Stanley visited Cohen's Aunty Carol and did all sorts of cool things there. He even crossed the Golden Gate Bridge.

Off to the UK
This week Room VH have headed off from China and are now learning about the UK or United Kingdom. Already we have learnt that four countries make up the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and how the Union Jack is made up of flags from three of these countries. Yesterday we learnt a little about Queen Elizabeth II and a timely postcard from Flat Stanley visiting England arrived. He had visited the Queen at her Sandringham Estate thanks to Regan's Aunty Jill.
China
We have all enjoyed learning about China. We've listened to legends, learnt about the people and animals and even read a chapter book of the adventures Flat Stanley had in China. Here is some of the art we created from our Chinese experiences.
We have such a colourful classroom full of all our artworks and creations.
What a talented bunch of 6 year olds! Now we are off to the UK.

Wow - Flat Stanley's From All Corners of the Earth!
We have had lots of Flat Stanley's arrive in Room VH this week. Here are three more that the children have so enjoyed receiving.
From the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East comes Flat Stanley from Luke's Grandma and Grandpa. What an amazing place!

From England we received another Flat Stanley for Regan. Flat Stanley hadn't visited Norwich before.
From the GC - or the Gold Coast, comes some postcards from Kennyth's family in Brisbane.
Flat Stanley visited Southbank and went swimming. He went to Sea World (which I know Kennyth would love to visit too) and it was really fun to see all the sea creatures there. Near to where Kennyth's Uncle Ben and Aunty Tai and his cousins Bella, Ethan, Riley, Mile and Tye is a rainforest where many Australian creatures live. What an exciting adventure.

Flat Stanleys arrive from England
This morning we have had 3 Flat Stanley's arrived from England. Two from London (the capital of England) and one from Portsmouth. Can you find them on the map?
The first one was from Grace Kelly in England. Grace was in Mrs Harvey's class last year and is friends with Tara.
The second Flat Stanley arrived after visiting Buckingham Palace with Josh's Uncle Kurt and Aunty Ingrid. They got the palace by riding the underground train in London. This is called The Tube.

The last of our Flat Stanley's to arrive today was from Lucy's friend Briana. This Flat Stanley visited Plymouth in the south of England. They visited the first iron plated warship called the HMS Warrior and then went up the Spinnaker Tower that overlooks Portsmouth Harbour.

Today Emma's Flat Stanley (well her name is Sydney) arrived back from Sydney, Australia. She had a wail of a time driving over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and spending hours looking around this huge city with Uncle Steve.
Thanks Aunty Shell and family for looking after Flat "Sydney".
