Yumbo Gumbo

Today we made yumbo gumbo.  People brought lots of veges like onions, corn, parsnip, carrots, celery, pumpkin.  There was even some salami and noodles.

All day our class has smelt of delicious soup cooking.  This afternoon we ate it.  Thirteen people loved our yumbo gumbo.  Ten people weren't so keen.

Ellie:   It was the first time I've eaten soup and I liked it.

Cohen:  It took hours to cook.

Rosearna:  Most people liked yumbo gumbo.

Riley:  I didn't like it.

Mia:  It was fun trying the yumbo gumbo
