Week 5 Happenings

We have had a great week in Room VH.  This week has been Maths Week across NZ.  We have been learning about double number addition and we have also been getting really speedy at our quick 20 subtraction facts.  Room VH visited the ICT twice this week to use the Maths Week website to use our  maths knowledge solving puzzles.  Lots of fun!

Miss Holman has been helping us use glue words to extend our sentences.  Here are some that we have been using.

Using glue words helps us make our sentences interesting and exciting for our readers.

This week we have also started investigating wearable arts with our new company VH Designs.  The kids have chosen a design topic to plan and make an amazing costume for our Term 4 wearable arts production.  We are all so excited about this.  If you are able to help out in any way please let Mrs H know.


You may have seen the gigantic truck parked in the school car park.  This is the Great Art Roadshow.  On Monday we will be visiting this art exhibition.  The classes that have been have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of seeing real art up close and personal.  If you are able to make a gold coin donation towards this experience that would be fantastic.
