Welcome to 2014

What a fantastic day in Room VH.  Twenty four new little people who are going to learn together, share with each other, play and have fun growing into great Year 2's.

The day started with an amazing powhiri of welcome for our new students and teachers at Discovery School.

We made some amazing shape monsters that are up on our wall already.  These show our favourite colours and shapes.  We are going to use our shape monsters to come up with some maths statements to share.

Over the coming weeks we are learning about different athletic sports.  This week Room VH are focussing on hurdles - running hard and jumping over small hurdles.  Lots of fun in the sun!

We had a great first day together - 2014 is going to be lots of fun!
