Gymnastics, Swimming, Production and much much more

We have been so so very busy in VH Class.  We have had lots of fun balancing, bouncing and climbing in gymnastics.  We had our final session with Abe from Big Air on Wednesday.  It was astounding how much better and more flexible everybody got in just our eight sessions.

The air track was so much fun!

Swimming is well underway.  We have three more sessions at Ally Todd Swimming.  I have been so very very proud of all the kids improvement in their swimming technique.  We have some kids learning to tumble turn when they swim up to the end of a length, some have been practicing turning their head to breath without stopping and one has swum and floated for the first time without floating aids - major achievement.

Narrative writing and reading has been our focus over recent weeks.  Everyone has made such progress in writing imaginative stories all with reader grabbing beginnings, descriptive problems and clever and funny endings.  This week everyone has been involved in reader's theatre - which is acting and reading plays with expression.  We had fun sharing our plays with each other.

Maths has been fun.  Everyone has been working on learning and remembering our times tables, including division this week.  We have been playing lots of games including a fun moving around game called Multiplication Scoot.  It is so much fun solving multiplication problems around the classroom.

At the beginning of Term 4 we are having our Discovery School Production and Resolution Syndicate are well underway with their practices.  I hope they have begun talking with you about this fun fun event.  Over the holidays we hope that all the kids will organise their costumes for our music era - 1980s!
