Week 7 Fun

What a week.....

The week started with such a buzz for Riley.  He won a real flying helicopter at the Plimmerton Gala.  The man from the Cadet Air Squadron delivered it to school.  I bet he is going to have lots of fun flying this over the summer break.  Congratulations Riley.

We learnt more about plants this week by conducting an experiment called Colour Changing Carnations.  We made predictions about whether the caranations would change colour after being in the red and blue and plain water.  We used our observations skills well.

If you look really closely you can see that after only 1 hour the blue had started to 'go up the tubes' inside the stem to begin to change the colour of the petals from the flowers in the blue water.  I wonder what they will look like after a week.  We will keep you posted.

We had our last training session with Isaac from Grasshopper Tennis.  We learnt how to do forehand and backhand and all tried our best to get the tennis ball inside the lines and over the net.  It was amazing to see their progress in the short amount of lessons that we had.  What a great summer sport.  There are some students who had very very good shots.  I got at least one bruise :)

On Friday we had fun sharing plays with each other.  Everyone had a great time being a character and sharing their play with friends.
