Art Roadshow

On Monday VH class had the privilege of seeing some amazing art by lots of NZ artists.  What an experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our special visit.

Some of the artworks were really big and some were really small.  There were paintings and sculptures made from all different sorts of materials.

ICT Open Morning

This week we showed off our knowledge in using ICT.  It was so great to show our mums and dads all the things we have learnt and how we use ICT in the classroom.

VH Kids chose their favourite apps that they use during maths, literacy and topic time and shared with their parents who came in.

It was a fun and relaxed block!

Too Many Toys

On Monday we started our topic 'Too Many Toys'.  All our kids in Endeavour Syndicate took part in a rotation around each of the classes exploring, playing and even guessing new and old toys.

What a great start to our new week with the Discovery School X-Games.  It was great to see so many families out on a gorgeous sunny day having fun and supporting our school.  Well done DSPTA for such a fun family event.

Money Munching with Vani

What a fun afternoon.  We had a special visitor, Vani, from ASB.  He taught us a lot of about money.  We also learnt about the difference between Needs and Wants.

Needs are things that you need to survive.  Wants are things that you would like to have but don't need to survive.

As you can see .... the kids were totally focussed.

Fraction Fun!

This week VH Kids have been learning all about fractions.

We have learnt that fractions are part of a whole and all fractions need to be equal.  If they aren't they are called unequal.

We had a yummy time making equal and unequal parts with luncheon - yum!
